“New York and other states are moving toward a system that requires aspiring teachers to prove themselves through lesson plans and other materials.” As an aspiring teacher, I consider this wonderful news.

My pastor at church today said something that...
“If I wanted to learn how to play basketball really well, I would go to Marvin* instead of Carl*. If I wanted to learn how to play some sort of board game, I would go to Carl instead of Marvin. If I wanted to learn how to Instagram, who would I go to? Hopefully not one of the male staffers! …[[MORE]]But if I wanted wisdom, I would go to the Lord.” I wasn’t really focusing on what else my...

I don’t know which process I dislike more: the “applying to colleges” process —or— the “getting ready for college” process. What do you followers think?

I know that all-nighters won’t do me any good when it comes to recovering from jet lag, but I just cannot go to sleep at the moment. Sigh… I need to do something this afternoon to distract me from going to bed. Take a cold shower. Vacuum the house some. Paint my toenails. Something…

Just me... or does this make him even sexier?
TeenHollywood: What kinds of books do you read when you have a moment away from your busy schedule?
Josh: I don’t have much time but when I do I like to read books about theoretical physics and philosophy.
TeenHollywood: Deep, dude!
Josh: [laughs] I like the deeper “What does it mean to be a person?” “What is reality?” “What is a consciousness?” “How is it we can ask these kinds of questions?” That’s what I want to know.
TeenHollywood: Very cool. Also good for an actor to get into your characters’ skins.
Josh: Exactly. If I went to college it would be for psychology, sociology. Things of that nature. Honestly, even as a little kid, at nine years old getting into acting, I think that’s what drove me in the first place; that curiosity about people. Everyone has so many different thoughts and ideas. Every person you walk by is just as complicated as you are. It almost impossible to get your brain around the fact that there are so many different people in the world with so many different thoughts.
